We kept watching the same thing happen. The information needed to care for a pet existed — it was just never in one place when it mattered. The vaccine certificate was in an email. The feeding routine was in someone’s head. The emergency vet number was somewhere in a group chat.
So we built the opposite of that: a calm, operational place to keep a pet’s details once, and a way to turn them into a clean packet the instant care changes hands — for boarding, a sitter, a vet, or a family member stepping in.
What we believe
PetPacket is intentionally narrow. It is not a social network, a marketplace, or a symptom checker. It is a readiness tool. A few principles keep it that way:
- Packet-firstThe value is in the output you can hand off — not in hoarding data for its own sake.
- Prepared, not playfulThe app should feel calm and operational, not cute for cute’s sake.
- Local-first trustYour records live on your device and your private iCloud — useful offline, under your control.
- Review before automationOCR assists, but you confirm every detail. Your reviewed records stay the source of truth.
Who it is for
Dog and cat owners who regularly hand off care — to boarding facilities, sitters, walkers, daycare, and family. And anyone who simply wants emergency-ready information available the moment it is needed. It works for rabbits, birds, reptiles, and small pets too; the records adapt.
